Okay, so we were wrong. Who knew? "Chuck" started laying eggs a couple of weeks ago, so now is known to her colleagues as "Dolly." She had been surrendered to the Seattle Animal Shelter in December 2002. We do not know why she ended up in the shelter but are happy to have her.

Dolly is white with some subtle grey markings. Highly opinionated, Dolly gives directions on just about everything we try to do in the poultry yard. Her ideas are expressed forcefully and articulately, and continually. Did we mention constantly? As in non-stop?

Likes:  hanging out with Petra and Nova in the protected poultry play yard, giving advice, plucking the occasional springtime blade of grass.

Dislikes:  living in a concrete cell.
