Elton
What the heck is THIS? wondered
the folks at PAWS in Lynnwood. Elton is a gorgeous Silver Pheasant but
his handsome looks belie his sometimes murderous intent. Elton used to
be in an enclosure with other fowl until
we discovered his intense dislike for other male pea fowl and related
birds. So he was isolated in a separate area. However, during a cage cleaning,
he made his escape THROUGH a glass window. We thought he would
just leave (after all, BaaHaus tries to be a peacable kingdom), but no,
Elton stays on, roaming the grounds but unable to get to any other of
his intended victims. We like him, but....watch your back.
