Kim is holding one of her favorites (out of her other 21 favorites), Custard, a little guy who, along with brother Greylag, was abandoned by irresponsible summer renters when their fun in the sun on Vashon came to a close. Kim puts in a solid three to four hours every Saturday and is now adding donkey curry combing and llama doo shoveling to her resume.
Kim decided to volunteer at BaaHaus so that she could get some good first-hand experience with farm animals BEFORE taking on a few critters of her own. Why doesn't everyone do this, instead of rushing in and then realizing how much work, time and money are involved in properly caring for the animals? Kim has been specializing in the rabbit colony which DEFINITELY always needs attention---with 22 residents, there is always something to do.
