Chickens are SO MUCH MORE THAN McNuggets! Every hen and rooster has a distinct personality.
We've discovered that roosters
in particular vary as to aggressiveness, voice quality, and care giving
abilities for hens. Some are rather rough; others are exceedingly gentle
and kind.
The same goes for the hens---Beth and Zsa Zsa really want to live in the house (and sneak inside at every opportunity) while Sinead is happiest in the llama stable with her friends Lloyd and Enid.
Pictured in the Meet the Animals link is Lloyd (picked up by Seattle Animal Control) and Sinead (one of two dozen chickens abandoned in Pierce County, after a domestic abuse situation broke up the human family).
